My current enrichment cluster topic is on movie making using a green screen. I am working with 17 second and third graders. Video taping will begin September 9 and will continue for the last two sessions. Although the final topics have not been decided, each student has been asked to research their interest topic.

We are using Corel Video Studio for productions.

Session 1: Viewing of videos made in my classes

Session 2: Video making tips (eg- angles, tricks, etc.). We used Klutz's Tricky Video: A Complete Guide to Moviemaking Magic. Watch the sample videos at http://video.klutz.com/tricky/index.html

Homework- Research topics of interest and watch TV/movies for angles and camera tricks.

Session 3: Demonstration of Corel Video Studio. This included adding audio (microphone), titles, music, images, videos, chroma key buttons/green screen. We created a sample video using a green screen together.

Session 4: Class video made for Barnes and Noble promotion

Session 5: Video taping for groups 1, 2, and 3.

Session 6: Video editing/publishing of videos
